MATERIALS + CARE
BBCC Jewels are crafted with a range of high quality metals and will last for years & years if cared for correctly, not properly caring for your jewels will diminish their durability and shine which will shorten their lifespan over time.
All BBCC pieces are hypoallergenic + lead & nickel-free and are 100% safe for sensitive skin!
Extra care should always be implemented to lengthen your jewellery lifespan + lustre.
As for all jewels, avoid pulling, stretching & knocking your pieces. — Jewellery is delicate and can break and scratch if mishandled.
Remember, with proper care, your jewellery will continue to sparkle for years to come! ♡
Each material has different levels of care, please refer below to view the specific guide tailored to your jewels!
Our Titanium Steel pieces are coated with Rhodium or 14ct & 18ct Gold plating onto a Titanium Steel base via the PVD multi-coated process + finished with an extra layer of tarnish resistance for extra durability.Â
Our plated jewellery is 1.5 microns thick which is thicker than the average 0.3-0.5 microns plating.Â
Titanium Steel will never corrode or rust & the base colour of this metal is Silver so our Rhodium plated pieces do require less care however, naturally all gold plated jewellery will fade over time due to factors such as chemicals + moisture.Â
• Avoid spraying perfumes or body spray directly onto jewellery.
• Avoid direct contact with cleaning products, self-tanner, sunscreen, cosmetics + perfume or other chemical contained products as they can damage your plating + stones.
• Wait until your lotion or cream is dry or has been absorbed by your skin before letting it come in contact with your jewellery.Â
• Use a lint free cloth or a cotton ball to clean your jewellery. Gently rubbing the surface of your gold plated jewellery using a soft jewellery cloth will help restore shine. Do not use a chemical polishing cloth as this will rub away the gold plating.
• Store your jewels in your jewellery box, pouch, or an air tight container when not wearing.
• Remove your jewellery prior to swimming in chlorine & salt water to maintain your plating & stone lustre.
